Regular commercial dog food is easily accessible and ready for use. Ssearch for some high quality dog food, otherwise some can provoke allergic reactions in some dogs.
Unless you’ve already found a good dog food that your boerboel likes, you might spend some time trying various dog foods. Research what brands you have in your country and what brands are recommended. The dog food of your choice will be especially important if your boerboel is still just a puppy!
But if your chosen brand causes some issues like allergies, wait a bit before giving your boerboel another brand.
The reason for this is that your boerboel needs some time to adapt from one dog food, to another. This is why even if you see that your boerboel has some alergic reactions, you should wait 4-7 days before giving a better dog food, otherwise even if your newfound dog food solution is perfect for your boerboel, its condition might get even worse.
